Hunar.AI raises ₹39.3 Cr Series A led by Blume Ventures

Hunar.AI, a Bengaluru-based conversational AI startup, has raised a Series A round of ₹39.3 Cr. Blume Ventures led the round and invested ₹29 Cr. This was first reported by Indian Startup News, which said the figures come from reports citing regulatory filings.
Seedstars put in ₹3.31 Cr and Hyderabad Angels Fund put in ₹3 Cr. AVNM Ventures also took part, as did PhysicsWallah co-founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari. Arpit Agarwal is a partner at Blume Ventures. Indian Startup News and YourStory both reported that the funds will go to AI infrastructure, product development and expansion.
Hunar.AI builds AI agents that automate recruitment, onboarding, training and engagement for frontline workers. Its platform handles screening, interview scheduling and follow-ups in regional languages. Its focus is on employers in retail, logistics and quick commerce, along with mobility and financial services. Croma and Tata 1mg are among its customers.
Krishna Khandelwal, co-founder and CEO of Hunar.AI, said: "Frontline workforce management is one of the largest yet most underserved opportunities in enterprise AI," Shantanu Bhattacharyya is the other co-founder named in the report.
Why it matters
Indian employers hire many frontline and gig workers, often across several languages. NITI Aayog projects the gig workforce at 23.5 million by 2029-30, so tools that automate hiring have a growing base.
