The 30-second read
- Eternal is preparing to launch Dark.ai, an AI platform built around private, encrypted conversations.
- It is expected to launch globally this year, with end-to-end encryption and its own infrastructure.
- Pricing, the commercial model and the encryption method have not been disclosed.
Eternal, the company behind Zomato and Blinkit, is preparing to launch Dark.ai. The platform focuses on privacy and encrypted AI conversations. Entrackr and NDTV Profit reported the plan. The launch timing, a global release this year, was first reported by Entrackr.
Entrackr first reported that Dark.ai uses end-to-end encryption. The company says it cannot read conversations even if compelled. It uses fine-tuned frontier open-weight models on its own infrastructure. An encrypted memory layer carries context across sessions, under user control.
The target users are power users such as founders, researchers, scientists, enterprises and governments. Entrackr also reported that the models are built to give users their honest best judgment of what is true instead of simply pleasing them. Benchmarks will come later. Pricing, the commercial model and the encryption implementation are not disclosed.
NDTV Profit first reported that Eternal expects flat margins for 1–2 years. The company says Dark.ai could become a high-margin business.
Why it matters
